The celebration of life for Paula will be held Saturday, May 14 at Yacht Club of St. Louis Clubhouse, 105 Lake Village Dr. St. Charles, MO 63301, from 1-4pm. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided.


Paula Diane (Bradshaw) Dill, was born the fourth of five children on March 23, 1959, in Memphis, TN to William (Bill) Eugene and Florence Jewell Bradshaw. She went to her heavenly home with a completely healed body, spirit, and mind on May 4, 2022.

Their will be a memorial for Rich Oster on Wednesday February 6th at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center on West Clay from 4 to 7.


Con Trios Yacht Club Emeritus Life Member Richard "Rich" Oster passed away this morning (Saturday, February 2nd). Rich and his beloved wife Phyllis (Jeanette) boat out of Duck Club Yacht Club in the "Miss Chris". They are long time boaters on the river and have been members of Con Trios since 1980. No arrangements as yet.
Our prayers and condolences go out to Phyllis and their family.

The 2nd annual Con Trios Scavenger Hunt is fast approaching.

July 30 2016

Same rules as last year.
1) Go to Yacht Club of St. Louis or Grafton Harbor between 10:30 am and noon on July 30 to pick up your "CLUES"
2) Figure out what the "CLUES" are and take a picture of the the object.
3) Return to Grafton Harbor with all of the pictures by 3:00 pm
If you have all of the correct pictures of the "CLUES" then you are eligible to win CA$H!!!
$20.00 per person that wants to play and you can't win if you don't play!

The Con Trios Yacht Club Past Commodores Party is this Saturday at Woodland Marina. Here's a message from Immediate Past Commodore Bill Tullock:

I am looking for some help putting up the Con Trios tent for the Past Commodore's Party. I plan to put the tent up Friday May 16th around 5:00 pm at Woodland Marina at the site of the old Woodland Yacht Club / Sharkeys.

SuperBowl Squares available now at $50 per square.

The Con Trios Yacht Club SuperBowl Party is next Sunday, February 2nd at The Boathouse. According to some news reports there is a chance the actual game could be on Saturday. Party will still be on Sunday but you may want to get your SuperBowl squares purchased before Saturday. Fleet Captain Rick Flier (email address rflier@centurylink.net) and most of the Con Trios Board Members have the tickets available for $50 per square. Hopefully everything will go off on schedule but it never hurts to be prepared. See you all Sunday at The Boathouse.

Side note to the Con Trios Labor Day Party at Two Rivers

Maureen and I drove up to the Con Trios Labor Day Party at Two Rivers so on our ride home we stopped at Clarksville Lock & Dam 24 and as luck would have it saw a lot of our group approaching the locks. Got to chatting with a lovely couple there who have been driving the 70 miles from Barrow Illinois every Labor Day for over 27 years just to watch all the pleasure boats locking through after the holiday weekend. Here's a pic of Carole and Russell with their binoculars at the ready! Didn't know we had such loyal fans.

Cross, Phyllis, of Defiance, Missouri, died on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the age of 76. Loving wife of Frederick M. Cross; beloved daughter of the late Rollie and Cleo Bonnie Meeks; devoted mother of Douglas (Pat) Meyer, Michael Meyer, and Mark (Cathy) Meyer; cherished grandmother of 7. She was employed at Cross Surgical Instrument Co. as a Vice President/GM for many years. She was a member of Con Trios Yacht Club and loved helping out with the Golden Retriever Rescue. She enjoyed shopping and swimming.

He was a good friend and always willing to help.

Con Trios Yacht Club Past Commodore Tim Tighe's Daughter, Tiffany Marsh, has passed away.
Wake and Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Maryville, IL. The address is 7110 State Route 162, Maryville, IL. Thursday, December 8th.
Tim will be at the wake beginning at 5 pm, but not before. It last until 8 pm. I am not sure how long he will stay. It depends on how he feels.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 9th at the same location (First Baptist Maryville). Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery 2910 S State Route 157, Edwardsville, IL.

Rose Seabaugh, beloved Mother of Con Trios Yacht Club member Connie Scheafnocker, passed away this morning (4/13/2015) at the age of 88. Rose, who also went by the nickname “Bingo Rose” was dearly loved by all of us that had the privilege of spending time with her and will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends. Funeral arrangements in her hometown of Jackson MO are pending and will be posted as soon as available. Our prayers and condolences go out to Connie, her husband Craig and their families. Dennis "Dago" Ocello, 76, beloved husband of Ginny, passed away on Wednesday February 4th after suffering multiple heart attacks while hospitalized. "Dago" and Ginny lived on their boat "Winstar" at Woodland Marina. Denny was a long time member of Con Trios Yacht Club and was often seen serving Champagne at various events. Many of his boating friends remember the gracious hospitality Dago served up on his many boats. Mr. Ocello owned Ocello Tool & Die in Fenton MO where the street it was on is named after him, "Ocello Drive". There will be a memorial for Mr. Ocello at a later time on his beloved river.

Con Trios Yacht Club Emeritus Life member Charles J. "Chuck" Tosovsky passed away Saturday July 12th of a heart attack at the age of 83. Chuck and Jean boated out of Alton Marina in the cruiser "Clay-Ann".

Richard W. Baisch 62, Father of Con Trios Yacht Club Fleet Surgeon Michael Baisch, passed away Saturday, May 3rd after an extended battle with cancer.
Mike and his wife Nicole boat out of Yacht Club of St. Louis in "Warden's Approval".
Visitation will be Tuesday May 6th from 5 PM to 8 PM at Bauhe Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson St., St. Charles, MO 63301
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors or Toys for Tots.

Steve Tredway, age 72, Father of Con Trios Yacht Club Vice Commodore Craig Tredway passed away on Monday April 28th. Steve leaves behind his beloved wife Sandy, two sons Craig and Scott, 4 grand kids and one great granddaughter. According to his Son Craig, Steve began boating on the Alton pool in 1979 and turned over the helm and love of boating to him in 1987 when he sold his boat and Craig bought his first.
Per his wishes Steve has donated his body to SLU Medical School so there will be no formal funeral.
There will be a memorial mass at 1: 00 pm on Saturday, May 3. St. Cletus Catholic Church. 2721 Zumbehl Road, St. Charles, MO 63301.
Donations can be made to any Alzheimers Association of St. Louis.

Con Trios Yacht Club member Robert "Bob" Rogliardi passed away at home after a short illness. Bob was an avid fisherman at their place at the Lake of the Ozarks and lots of bass tournaments. For several years they had a pontoon boat at Yacht Club of St. Louis affectionately called the "River Pig". Bob was always fun to be around and will be greatly missed. Janet said all the kids were there with him the day before.

Past Commodores Party is postponed........

As of this morning (May 5th, 2013) the amended river levels are going back up 3 feet in the next 3 or 4 days. Puts it above the key pad at the front gate of DCYC. Also the long term forecast shows next Saturday to be rainy and a high of 59 degrees.

I drove around Polestar, Lake Center and YCSL this morning.
Not good anywhere. Polestar Fuel Dock side was almost a possibility.
Parking at Polestar difficult with all the boats and extra trailers etc. there.

For the best interest of CTYC, our members and friends......
The May 11th, Past Commodores Party is postponed.

Great day, great friends, great food! Immediate Past Commodore Alan and Julie put together an excellent day for us at Port Charles Harbor (first time ever for Con Trios to hold an event there). The setting could not have been better amongst the trees on the river bank. Double Down played tunes all day while Past Commodores Mike Tremmel and Bill Mixon along with Linda put together a feast of a buffet. Our October Board Meeting will be Saturday October 12th @ 3:00 pm (before the membership party) at Steve Huebner's place at Eagles Landing. I expect it to be a quick meeting but we do need to have a quorum so please plan to attend if you can. Our secretary Judi and her team will be counting the ballots and we will be introducing our new Board for 2014. After the meeting it sounds like our Fleet Captain Greg and his First Mate Peggy have another fun party planned for us all. Just two short weeks until the annual Membership Meeting.
This year we are doing something a bit different, a "PANCAKE BREAKFAST".
The pancakes will be freshly made by your board members and there will be a topping bar with just about anything you could ever want on a pancake! Strawberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Whipped Cream, Sprinkles and a variety of syrup.

Fleet Captain Bill Tullock's final party of the year was a great time. The festivities began in the Hospitality Room about 3 PM with the "D Dock DJs" providing the tunes to go with the appetizers and beverages. About 6 ish everyone put on their party duds and headed to the banquet room where they enjoyed a fine dinner while the "Daves Not Here" band set up. After a few introductions of the 2012 Board members and welcoming the incoming 2013 Board of Directors everyone got down to some serious fun and dancing. Con Trios Yacht Club request for members interested in serving on the Board of Directors:
The Con Trios Yacht Club is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the General Membership each year. Most positions are one year, a few are two year commitments. Fleet Captain Greg Colletta would like to invite any members interested in helping to manage and grow the club to contact him and he will forward the names to the Nominating Committee.
As of right now it appears that there will be openings for at least Secretary and Fleet Surgeon. The position of Secretary is a two year commitment, Fleet Surgeon requires a person from the medical community (Doctor, Nurse, Paramedic, etc.).
Elections for the Board of Directors must be completed by the Full Membership Meeting in October and installation of Officers is effective January 1st. Full qualifications and duties can be found in the Con Trios Yacht Club Membership Roster By-Laws section.

The Con Trios Yacht Club Champagne Brunch is still ON for Sunday June 9th at 10 AM! We will relocate to the parking lot area of Yacht Club of St. Louis (near "The Point" for those of you familiar with that). The Con Trios tent will be up marking the location. Save the money you would have spent on beverages for the raffles by bringing your own coolers! There is an auxiliary gravel road just before the Yacht Club gate should the water be over that area. Fleet Captain Greg and First Mate Peg are not going to let a little water mess up one of the best parties of the year. Hope to see everyone there. Just a heads up for anyone wanting to participate in the Blessing of the Fleet.
The 57th Annual Blessing of the Fleet scheduled for Saturday July 19th may be at risk of being postponed. River level projections now call for Grafton to go to 25.9 feet about July 11th before falling slowly. Critical levels at Portage des Sioux are in the 21 to 21.5 foot range. I will be posting updates both on the Blessing website at www.blessingofthefleetstl.com and facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BlessingoftheFleetSTL

Blessing of the Fleet new date has been set for Saturday August 9th.
The 57th Annual Blessing of the Fleet / Parade of Boats will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 2014. Theme for decorating is "Noah's Ark". The only changes at this time are the Antique and Classic Boat Society / Mississippi Valley Chapter will not be able to attend and Captain Dutch Hauhe will turn over lead boat duties to his Co-Captain of previous years Randy Bicknese. All other aspects and times will remain the same. Upper Pool Parade will begin in front of Yacht Club of St. Louis at 1 PM, Lower Pool Parade will begin at Alton Marina at 1 PM, both parades will merge and pass the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rivers at 2:15 PM. All boaters are welcome to join the parades at any point along the routes.

Blessing of the Fleet is being postponed indefinitely.
Due to the flooding currently going on it has become necessary to postpone the Blessing of the Fleet. Once the level on the Grafton gauge drops below 21 feet we will need at least a week to allow for cleanup of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rivers site, local roads and businesses.
Currently Palisades Yacht Club is closed and Longshot Saloon / My River Home is using the rear entrance off of LeClaire Street, the LaRosa Cabana Bar is closed. Current projections show about 22.7 on July 19th, the original date. Check the Blessing website at www.blessingofthefleetstl.com and www.riverbills.com for updates. Theme - Gilligan's Island
Parade of Boats will begin passing the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rivers at 2:15 PM with the Antique and Classic Boat Club / Mississippi Valley Chapter (www.mvcacbs.org) immediately followed by the upstream and downstream parades. Palisades Yacht Club (www.palisadesyachtclub.com) will have Tim Mauldin DJ playing music the entire day.
The River Road Renegades / Alton Ski Club will be providing food all afternoon.
My River Home Marina / Longshot Saloon / LaRosa Cabana Bar (www.myriverhome.com) will be hosting the Con Trios Yacht Club Scavenger Hunt. Longshot Saloon will be open. In addition the LaRosa Cabana Bar will have Founding Fathers playing and a buffet all day. The Rebel Train Band will be playing from 8 PM to Midnight.

Most of us boaters knew John well from the restaurants he ran over the years on our river and the bands he and Cindy performed with. His sudden death has left Cindy with substantial bills. Not a whole lot going on boating wise right now so with the holidays coming up maybe a couple of feel good stories are in order. Con Trios Yacht Club Past Commodore Gary Meinershagen sent in the following email.
"Hello Darryll, I would like to share my recent experience with Walters Jewelers, located in downtown St. Charles, Mo. with the members of Con Trios Yacht Club.
This past September I took my wedding rings to Walters Jewelers for minor repairs and cleaning. In November while in Florida I found a small diamond missing and a small crack in the gold. I called Chris at Walters and he said "Here is our Post Office account number, take the rings to the post office and have them send the rings to me". In less than a week the rings were returned to my front door here in Florida, fixed. NO charge! Now that's customer service.

Karen L Halley (nee Forister) was called by God to take a walk on the stairway to Heaven on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 9:24am after her extensive battle with cancer.
She was the loving wife of Michael (Mike) Halley.
Arrangements for Karen Halley will be at St Charles Memorial Gardens / Baue at 3950 West Clay near Cave Springs Rd in St Charles, MO. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 25th from 10:30am to 11:30am with a service immediately following, 11:30am to 12:30pm.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
