Sad News to Report...

Mary K. Carrara, 64, of Moscow Mills, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Barnes- Jewish Hospital - St. Louis. She was born on April 4, 1954 in St. Louis to Frank and Ruth ( Gronemeyer) O'Brien. Mary grew up with her two siblings, Frank and Peggy. Mary graduated from the local schools.
On May 19, 1973 she was married to Joseph Carrara at Transfiguration Church in Spanish Lake. To this union were born two children; Jennifer and Joseph. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She and Joe enjoyed their time spent boating each summer.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years: Joseph Carrara of Moscow Mills, two children; Jennifer and husband Brian Timmerman of Lake St. Louis, Joseph and wife Alex Carrara of Miramar, FL, seven grandchildren; Tyler, Kyelyn, Payton, Ryder, Pierce, Faith and Kyley, her mother: Ruth O'Brien of St. Peters, one brother: Frank and wife Jean O'Brien Jr. of Kirkwood, one sister: Peggy and wife Jerry Holmes of Lincoln County, mother-in-law: Barbara Carrara of Lake St. Louis, sister-in-law: Christine and husband Richard Lester of Lake St. Louis and many other nieces , nephews, relatives and other friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Frank O'Brien Sr., father-in-law: Joseph Carrara Sr. and her grandson: Wyatt.

Visitation will be held on Wed. May 16, 2018 from 9 a.m. -10 a.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379 .

Funeral Mass- also on Wed. May 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 100 Thompson Drive Troy, MO 63379

Interment- to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery St. Louis, MO
